I can't say enough great things! My parents found this little gem last week and they loved it so much they told me I had to go. Everything was absolutely delicious. The customer service is top tier. Best Chinese food I've ever had! We got wonton soup, egg rolls, pepper steak, orange chicken, sautéed shrimp, and vegetable plate and everything was phenomenal! Give them a try and I promise you won't be disappointed.

I visited Eating Time Chinese Food with my parents, and we were all impressed by how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. I ordered the Combination Mai Fun, and it instantly reminded me of the Asian dishes I enjoyed during my time in Hong Kong... perfectly seasoned rice noodles, tender meats, fresh vegetables, and that subtle wok aroma that’s hard to find elsewhere. What made the experience even better is that my mom, who is an Asian cuisine teacher and chef, absolutely loved it too. She praised the freshness of the ingredients, the balance of flavors, and the authentic preparation... high praise coming from her! The portions were generous, the presentation beautiful, and the staff friendly and attentive. We all left genuinely satisfied and already plan to come back. If you’re looking for authentic, comforting Chinese food in Birmingham, Eating Time Chinese Food is absolutely worth a visit.
My family and I love this place! Every time we eat here the service is wonderful and the food is delicious! My son’s favorite is their Mongolian beef dish because the meat is not floating in the sauce and not hidden underneath a pile of onions. My husband’s favorite is the general tso’s because the size they cut their chicken it’s just lightly coated so they aren’t chicken nugget size (because of all the extra breading/coating around a little piece of chicken like we have been served at other places). The amount of heat is just right and the portion size is fair for the price. 100% recommend this place for anyone who has a “hankering” for amazing Chinese food!
Google led us to this area when we were looking for a different Asian food spot and I am so glad we ended up here. The service was fantastic. The beautiful young lady greeted us, served us, and wished us well afterwards always with a smile . And the food was amazing. Our egg rolls and soup (complimentary with lunch) were served hot and freshly prepared with entrees served shortly thereafter. Egg roll was flavorful but not greasy and soup was light and flavorful. I chose the broccoli chicken as an entree. The sauce along with the tenderness of the chicken and broccoli were perfect! We were visiting from our of town, but will definitely return on our next trip. If you're local, please visit and keep this place open. Stop in and have a seat. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the service is great.
I have been searching for a really good Chinese restaurant for a long time, and this restaurant does not disappoint! Their fried dumplings were delicious and the customer service was wonderful!
Have always gotten to go but today ate in restaurant today, I enjoy better in restaurant but all was good and served phenomenal
5 stars from the food alone. If you remember the restaurant that was here before it, forget it. This is a totally new Chinese restaurant. And the food is prepared very fresh and has excellent presentation. And you wouldn’t know based on when you walk in. Looks like your standard Chinese restaurant on the outside and in, however they go the extra mile. At least give it a try if you’re in the area and hankering for Chinese!
Had such a lovely time today at Eating Time! The service was exceptional and warm (and so was the egg drop soup — YUM!). We so enjoyed chatting with Ricky, one of the staff, about how he learned Chinese and enjoys helping out here. The chicken and broccoli was so good. And they gave us Christmas gifts to boot! Can’t wait to come back.
